I wasn't solicited for this review but felt the need to post it. As with other reviews, I cannot say enough good things about this company. From initial phone calls with evelyn, chriss that did the pickup and the gentlemen that did delivery at my daughter's address. Very responsive, very courteous and very careful wrapping and packing the items that were moved. I was kept updated on all aspects of the move. Price was excellent and they did a fantastic job! I will one hundred percent reach out to them for all my moving and packing needs in the future

Highly recommend. Rob,Paul,Dave,AJ,Nick and Tim did a great job moving us from North Jersey to our home at the Jersey shore this past weekend. Price was very fair with no surprises compared to the original estimate and despite the snowy weather did an excellent job.

2025 update: 4th move in 4 years!!! Don’t ask, family stuff but all good! and our go to - Sett Movers did not fail - their team was FABULOUS!!!! Shout out to Nick, Rob, Mike and AJ - you helped to make our day stress free!!After reading about them on Facebook, Sett Movers sounded like the right choice and they were! Even better than a fair price, Paul, John and David showed up on time, were gracious, professional and did an AMAZING job! Each piece was carefully wrapped for the trip and they finished faster than expected, a plus! In the past 8 years, we have moved 8 times and this team, this company, was by far the best I’d ever had! My family called SETT movers and set up for today (11/14/25) to come pick up my bedroom furniture. Im moving out of an apartment to a house and they came in. They were so professional and nice. We didn't really have alot of items for them to take, but they handled everything so nicely. Took apart my bed and let us know that when the bedroom frame was assembled, somehow the screw was stripped and they had a hard time getting it out. I appreciated them letting us know. I also liked how I ran out of time to put on extra plastic mattress covers on my mattress and boxspring and they put it on without me even asking. They were in and out super fast. I have never seen a moving company take apart and put it back together plus traveling in a half an hour. I will definitely be using them if I have to move again.

Rob, AJ, Mike & Nick = amazing! I called SETT movers on Thursday and was able to schedule with them for that Saturday. We had Rob, AJ, Mike & Nick. They ALL were equally amazing. So helpful, kind and professional and they really know what they are doing. I was especially impressed with how carefully yet quick they were able to get furniture/boxes upstairs! I cannot say enough about these 4 men, they all worked so hard and I’m so happy to have had them help me with my move!!!

I recently hired SETT Movers to help me move an upright piano on short notice. It was a great experience overall. When I called for a quote, I spoke to Evelynn who was friendly and helpful and quoted me a very competitive price (I called a bunch of places and this was by far the best price I'd gotten). Then she was available by text to help answer my questions, which I really appreciated. On the day of the move, Rob, Nick and Luke showed up right on time, they were very friendly and professional and they moved the piano quickly and efficiently. It took a lot less time than I had anticipated. I had been stressed about this move, but everyone did a great job and it made the process painless. I'll definitely reach out to SETT again the next time I need help with a move.

My husband and I moved from New Jersey to South Carolina into a retirement community. I contacted SETT and within a few days they sent a representative to assess my household, a date was immediately established, instructions were given to us on packing since we choose to pack our household. Once we received the cost we realized SETT was 15-20% less expensive than other movers we looked into. We entrusted them with the key to our home as we had to leave for our new home prior to the move and felt secure in the fact they would care for our belongings. SETT delivered our household unblemished and on time. The 2 young men were courteous and respectful. All our furnishings were placed exactly where we wanted them and they even moved a few items we wanted changed. I highly recommend SETT Movers for all your moving needs. Lucy B.

We hired Sett back in November 2024 to move the entire contents of our home due to a major renovation. Rob, AJ, Castro and Anthony were on time wrapped every thing up and moved everything to a storage facility. Now almost a year to the day later and Rob, AJ and Luke again very timely and smoothly moved everything back into our home. Quick, polite and best of all nothing was damaged! What great a crew Sett has on staff!!!

Used Sett Movers for a local move; they were accommodating, even when I needed to change the move plan. They quickly loaded, made a second stop at a storage location, and moved everything without any issues. They made a point of asking me if there was anything else needed before going over final signatures. The whole crew were friendly and professional and the move was fast and fairly priced. Highly recommended this great local business!

We haven't moved in 30 years and this company was great! We had Nick, AJ and Mike and they took care of everything. From wrapping to loading to unloading into a storage unit! We will definitely be using them again when we move into our new home! Highly recommend this crew! Thank you for making this move easier!

Moving is a traumatic and invasive experience! My wife and I moved out of NJ recently after 15 years in our house. I contacted several "big box" movers. I thought any company that ends in Van Lines must be good at interstate moving. Filled out a quick online form and started getting calls the next day. 3 bedroom ranch, husband and wife clothes and a 10 X 10 storage unit.My wife and I bought a couple Home Depot boxes, a roll of packing tape and some bubble wrap. Expensive, tedious and time consuming! 3 boxes in, we knew we needed a company that would also pack our house up for us, load us up and deliver our stuff to our new home.My first big box quote was $4000. including packing! Wow! Great price, I thought it would be about 10k. While on the phone I asked if they wanted photos or were going to send someone by to actually see my furniture or what was in my house. Nope! I got an estimate in 5 minutes from someone in Florida for a NJ to NC move. She spent more time asking me for a credit card number than the particulars of my home. I looked around. I wouldn't pack all my stuff, load a truck, move everything 500 miles and unload it for $4000.I found out later with some big box movers all our possessions go on a HUGE truck along with other people's stuff. And insurance? You have to get your own moving insurance. LOL, I'm not feeling warm and fuzzy with this idea.A couple days later I got a hand written post card from SETT Movers. I made an appointment with Tara and Tyler spent over an hour with me taking notes and photos along the way. The next day I got a detailed quote for my move. It wasn't $4000 to say the least, but I knew that was an impossible number thrown out by a big box mover just to get my business. Fully insured BTW.I booked my day with SETT movers. The process couldn't have been more seamless. 1 day to pack, 1 day to load, 1 day travel, 1 day to unload in NC. I even decided to have them take my 2nd vehicle down. Tara was incredible with managing the whole process from beginning to end.Chris and Tre' packed everything in my house in 5 hours. I would guess they went through 50 or 60 rolls of packing tape and countless sheets of brown wrapping paper. The care that went into packing the boxes systematically was amazing. Screws for my TV stand packed inside an empty roll of packing tape so they didn't get lost. But as I watched all my belongings disappear before my eyes, I didn't feel relief, but anxiety. You're placing a huge amount of trust in a company with all your things. Would something break? Would everything make it? The next day the truck was loaded and we left and stayed in a hotel.Watching the truck being loaded was amazing. Fishing gear, bicycles, power washer, outdoor furniture, 2 refrigerators, everything had a specific spot. I found out later it's so the whole load shifts inside the truck as one. That's how nothing breaks or gets crushed. Chris told me "it's like a giant game of Tetris... over and over and over until you're done."We got to our new house early. Chris and Tre' arrived on time and began unloading the truck and setting up our furniture. 4 hours later they were done. They accommodated any request I had for placement of boxes and furniture.Did anything break? The only casualty was a half full bag of basmati rice that opened up and spilled into the bottom of 1 box. I guess the giant game of Tetris worked. Each box was labeled with the room and contents. They arranged the boxes in the garage by room. That made it so much easier when unpacking so we could prioritize opening of boxes.SETT offered value with our move. Were they the cheapest mover? Probably not, but I definitely got what I paid for and much more! My entire house packed up, moved from spot A to spot B and unloaded with no headaches. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't use any other mover. SETT is a professional family owned company. For most people packing up and moving is not something they do often. Make the process the least traumatic and least invasive experience and use SETT.

They were amazing. They came on time, did not waste time and were extremely careful with my furniture. When I mentioned one of my small tables was an antique they took extra care in packing it. Way better than I would have done. I highly recommend them for any moving needs. They do local and long distance. My house was moved into storage and then will go to SC once we find a house.

Sorry for the long review but I felt it important for others to share the whole experience.I needed to hire a moving company for our relocation from New Jersey to Florida, and I quickly learned to steer clear of moving brokers—they felt more like predators than helpers! One day, I received a postcard in the mail from SETT Movers. I decided to do a quick Google search to check out their reviews, which turned out to be overwhelmingly positive. That gave me enough confidence to schedule an estimate.Tara from SETT came out and conducted a very thorough walkthrough. Their quote was consistent with the others I had already received. Still, I decided to get one more estimate, this time from Mayflower, hoping to possibly save a bit of money. During that consultation, the representative warned me to beware of any moving company that charges a deposit, claiming it was illegal in New Jersey. That didn’t sound quite right to me—after all, it makes sense that a company would want a deposit to reserve a spot.Even so, her warning made me second-guess SETT, so I turned back to Google and dug deeper. I looked hard for red flags and found none. During my research, I came across the New Jersey Warehouse & Movers Association. According to their website, they've been around since 1969 and only list licensed, reputable, and professional movers. Their site made it clear they don’t promote one company over another but provide objective information to help consumers make informed decisions. That reassured me.I reached out to them and confirmed that not only is SETT a member in good standing, but also that deposits are not illegal in New Jersey. The woman I spoke with even echoed my thoughts—that deposits, especially for smaller companies, are a practical and necessary part of doing business. Shame on Mayflower for spreading misleading information.At that point, I was fully committed to SETT, even though Mayflower’s quote was over $1,000 cheaper.On moving day, the SETT team arrived on time and got straight to work. While I can’t say the day was entirely stress-free (moving is never easy!), Tara and Castro were incredibly professional, patient, and compassionate. They helped calm our nerves and kept things running smoothly. The stress we felt had nothing to do with SETT—just the normal chaos of a big move.I wish I could remember everyone’s name because the entire team was outstanding. A special shoutout to the ones I do remember—Tara, who kept everything running smoothly with her consistent communication and coordination, and movers Castro and Rob, who handled the heavy lifting with professionalism and care.Thank you all for helping us accomplish this monumental task!

While moving can be stressful, Sett movers made my move to Philadelphia so easy, between amazing customer service and communication, to amazing movers (shoutout to Rob, Nick and Castro) the entire move was easy. They are extremely reasonable especially after shopping around and comparing pricing, they did well driving down narrow south Philly roads ( major props) and they finished earlier then predicted. They came highly recommended and I absolutely understand why.

This is my third move with Sett Movers. With each move, they were on time, professional and respectful of my property. The furniture moved came from a friend's house and she reported to me the same care and concern for her property as they removed it from her house and placed on the truck. SETT MOVERS is a truly EXCEPTIONAL moving company. We had a rather complicated move, involving five stops throughout NJ, to either drop off or pick up furniture from different houses belonging to relatives. Many of the pieces being transported were valuable antiques which were carefully wrapped and protected by the amazing team of men from Sett Movers. My husband and I have moved in and out of multiple homes during our 50 years of marriage and Sett Moving Company was by far the most professional, efficient, polite, detail oriented team of movers that we have ever had the pleasure of working with. It would be impossible for me to recommend Sett Moving Company more highly!

Great movers. They moved a player piano from Seaside Park to Whiting for us and our upright to Cookstown. Great group of guys especially Rob, Castro, Paul, Chris, and Tom. My experience started with the call to SETT Movers. Tara was a delight to talk to. I told her I was looking to move my Dad from home to an Assisted Living/Memory Care. She asked when and I said the problem is going to be, he needs to move in 2 days. She said no problem, we’ll fit you in our schedule. Moving day, a young man Chris and his crew showed up exactly when said, with a call saying they were on there way. They were thorough, very polite. Handled everything like it was glass. Wrapped everything with moving blankets. Within 2 1/2 hours all done and at new place. They placed everything right where I needed it. Highly, highly recommend them. Thanx Chris, you and your team👌🏼

Castro, Rob, Chris and the rest of the crew from SETT were awesome! From the help by Chris and Castro packing the day before to loading the truck and the crew loading the truck, it was all done with efficiency and care for our items. They were courteous and pleasant, answering any questions we had. They called when they said they would and kept us informed of the time they would arrive. The day the truck came to unload, Castro and Rob worked tirelessly to unload the truck and place each box in its designated area. They even moved some boxes to another wall so we would have an easier pathway and moved our furniture back to its original place. We have already recommended SETT Movers to our friends who are planning on moving in the near future. Thank you for a wonderful experiance, you took the stress out of our move!

I had Sett Movers move my mother. They were very professional and friendly. The guys arrived when they said they would. They were extremely protective of the furniture and were very patient when it came to my mother, wanting to have the furniture placed in a certain area of the house. I would use them again. Working with SETT Movers was an absolutely amazing experience. From the very first callto the end of the moving experience I couldn’t be more pleased. Evelyn was very helpful, and Tara was extremely accommodating. She was very prompt in returning my call. Tara was able to arrange for her movers to come to the job within a few days. When the movers arrived, they were courteous, prompt and quick! All of the movers, Chris, AJ and Nick did an excellent job of moving my possessions to my new home. They were all professional and were very attentive to my questions. I have honestly never dealt with such professional and quick movers as I did from SETT Movers.
